Special Projects Committee
JoAnne Vandenberg, Chairperson, Betsy Love, Treasurer, Rose Mary Dorko, Secretary, Terry Garrity - Liaison from the Board of Directors
- Coordinate all special projects meeting reports, suggestions, etc.
- Control the budget for each project, sell tickets, advertise and promote each event.
- Report to the Board any financial gains as a financial report of total dollars on hand each month at a Board Meeting (chairperson or representative)
Special Projects Committee is volunteers from within the community. Our goal is to offer an assortment of interesting social activities while encouraging residents to stay active and meet new friends.
Some of our annual events are the Ladies Christmas Tea, Breakfast with Santa, Kids Easter Egg Hunt, Kids Halloween Party and New Years Eve party. We fill in the calendar with other events such as Cabaret Night, Casino Bus Trips, Murder Mystery Dinner, Trivia Night, Country Western Night and a Fashion Show.
When an event is planned, we schedule the date with the Club House. With the approval of the Board of Directors, an event flier is posted on the bulletin boards at the front and back gates, the pool area, the Clubhouse office, and Channel 63.
With every event, the Special Projects Committee is responsible for purchasing the necessary materials, decorating and setting up the Clubhouse, and the final clean-up.
All residents are invited to join the Special Projects Committee. Your active involvement is solely up to you. You can be 100% involved in every activity or you can pick and choose which event you would like to help with. Our meetings are scheduled on a needed basis. The Special Projects Committee meets before every event to discuss the project and assign specific responsibilities.
New ideas are always welcome. We look forward to meeting new neighbors and aiding our neighbors to make new friends. Thank you to those who have supported the Special Projects Committee and we extend a special invitation to those neighbors who have not yet attended a Special Projects event. Come on, give us a try!
